SF Giants Game AT&T Park Sunday August 9, 2009

August 19, 2009 by Derrell McCain

With a friend, we took the Vallejo-McCovey Ferry service to SF Giants Game, Sunday, August 9, 2009 at AT&T Park. We departed Vallejo at 11:15 AM to arrive at McCovey Cove at the Bay entrance to AT&T Park in time for the 1:05 PM game. It was a beautiful trip across the Bay and a great experience at AT&T Park despite the fact that SF Giants lost 5 to 2 to Cincinnati Reds. It was a bright sunny day so I got some nice pictures taken from the ferry and the baseball park. Click on the thumbnails for a larger view.

Spring in Eastern Sierra

June 19, 2009 by Derrell McCain

I had a wonderful spring trip to the Eastern Sierra mountains. I left Stockton, CA, and drove east on HWY 120 through Yosemite National Park. Later on I turned south at Mono Lake on US HWY 395 toward Bishop, CA. I stayed there one night. I drove up HWY 168 into the Eastern Sierra to Bishop Creek Region. There are several lakes at different elevations. I took many pictures of the mountain peaks and lakes there. After that on the next day, I decided to go further south to Lone Pine, CA, for another night stay. Once there I went exploring Movie Road in the Alabama Hills where many movies and TV westerns were filmed. Click on the thumbnails for a larger view.
