I took these six photos on a walk in my neighborhood in Stockton, California. There are some beautiful and vivid fall colors to be spotted here. The weather is great: cool and sunny.

I took these ten images on a recent visit to the Sacramento River Delta Region. The wildlife and sunset images that I took are in the Staten Island Preserve, near Walnut Grove, California.

I always enjoy visiting The Delta. It intrigues me with sights and sounds of wildlife on the Pacific Flyway.

After the Rain a Burst of Color in Late Fall

 

Here are ten photos that I took following several days of cold, rainy weather. I captured these images around the neighborhood where I live in Stockton, California. Sometimes you don’t have to go far to discover beautiful scenes of nature.

Autumn in The Delta, California

Here are five photos that I took driving around The Delta in Sacramento River Delta Region. I found the sandhill cranes along Woodbridge Road and the vineyard near Thorton, California. Fall color everywhere you look.

Grand Teton Trip

Here are some photos I took on a trip to Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park, Oxbow Bend on the Snake River, and T.A. Moulton Barn on Mormon Row. You can find these same scenic photo spots and more around Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It was during the fall equinox. The weather was sunny and crisp. Fall foliage was just starting to turn color. For me, it’s awesome scenery.

Here are some pictures I took around the neighborhood in the late afternoon just before the sunset. You can see the few remaining leaves in the last rays of sunlight.

Here are some pictures I took on a recent road trip to California’s Eastern Sierra. The trip started in Stockton, California, going east on CA Highway 120 to US Highway 395 ending in Bishop, California. The return trip was on CA Highway 108 over the Sonora Pass to Stockton. Stops and picture taking included Obsidian Dome near Mammoth Lakes, Owens River Valley, Bishop Creek Canyon, and the eastern slope of CA HWY 108. Most of the pictures were taken in Inyo and Mono Counties. For me, it’s always a delight and joy to see the brilliant fall colors in the Eastern Sierra.

Last Leaves to Fall

From my balcony I took four pictures of the last remaining leaves to fall from the tree outside. It was cloudy so I was able to take these leaves with diffuse, soft lighting. I darken the background so allow the leaves to stand out.
