Monochrome Memories of Guam

Here some of the images that I was able to convert from stacks of negative films to digital images. I used a Wolverine F2D to convert these memories that I haven’t seen since I was the young photographer who you see at the  end of the slideshow. Great to be able to see these pictures of Guam again. I took these pictures during the seventies when I taught school there. I taught at John F. Kennedy High School above Tumon Bay, Guam, USA. Hafa Adai!

Central Florida Excursion

Here are some pictures that I took in Central Florida while visiting family there. I began with a sunset on Clearwater Beach on the Gulf of Mexico and ended with a sunrise on Flagler Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. Also I took some pictures of the oldest oak tree in  Pinellas County, Tarpon Springs Sunset Cruise, Eola Lake in Downtown Orlando, Leu Gardens, and Flagler Beach. I used a Nikon D600 FX with Nikon lenses: 20 mm 1.8 wide angle, 50 mm 1.8 normal, and 70 to 300 mm telephoto. Central Florida has lots of beautiful sights to see. For me many more sights to photograph.

Dillon Beach, California

Here are some pictures I took while walking along Dillon Beach located near the village of Bodega where Hitchcock’s “The Birdsfilm took place. The beach is located on the northern coast of Marin County, about 60 miles north of San Francisco. Take the Pacific Coastal Highway US 1 north of San Francisco and turn left in Tomales on the Dillon Beach Road. Beautiful beach scenery at the opening of Tomales Bay. Go off season on a weekday simply because you will find that there are fewer people on the beach and quite likely more sun.

Here are more pictures that I took on a recent trip to the Atlantic Coast of Central Florida. The locations include Ponce De Leon Inlet Light Station, Hontoon Island State Park (Island Getaway along the St. John’s River), Tosohatchee State Reserve, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, and Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Here are some pictures that I took on a trip to visit family in Central Florida. These pictures are from Honeymoon Island State Park, Egmont Key State Park, Safety Harbor, and the Tampa Bay Sunshine Skyline Bridge. I had a chance to see the real Florida in these parks. Also I soon discovered these parks are a refuge for wildlife and people.
