Photo Trek in Northern California

I began on Suisun Valley Road, Suisun Valley, California where I took a photo of a vineyard. Then I drove along Shiloh Road to take two photos of mustards with Mount Diablo in the background and some wind towers. Again I took another group of wind towers along Birds Landing Road. The next day I took three photos of snow geese and seagulls along Desmond Road in Cosumnes River Preserve. The last photo I took of swans and ducks along Woodbridge Road near the Woodbridge Ecological Reserve. It was a pleasant winter outing with signs of early spring.

I took these photos at Cosumnes River Preserve, Northern California. I noticed that the preserve looks like a large lake. I guess the extra high water is a result of the recent rain storms passing through the Central Valley.

I took these pictures of ducks and cranes on a recent afternoon at Cosumnes River Preserve. I used a Nikon D300s with a telephoto 80-400 mm lens. It was a pleasure to see a day of sunshine after weeks of rain and ground fog. Cosumnes River Preserve is located on Franklin Blvd between the Twin Cities and Walnut Grove-Thornton exits on Interstate 5. The nearest town is Galt, California.
