Caswell State Park, California

Last Friday morning, I joined the Olli Bird Safari at Caswell State Park, South Austin Road, Ripon, California. The bird safari was led by David Lee. The state park is on a winding bend of the Stanislaus River in the middle of the Central Valley. It’s a rare example of an oak mature riparian forest in California. I took these seven photos mostly of the oaks here and of the the birders looking at diverse bird species in those valley oaks.

Quail Lake, Stockton, California

I walked from my place to a nearby Quick Stop to buy one Mega Million ticket to have a chance to win the 1.6 billion dollar jackpot. I brought my camera to take some pictures along the way. Maybe I don’t really need to win the jackpot. Maybe my neighbor is enjoyable enough.

Mt. Diablo Easter 2018

While riding up to the summit of Mt. Diablo, California, on Easter Sunday, I took these scenes of the views along the way. It was a perfect day to photograph simply because it was sunny and very little wind. It’s indeed well worth the drive up to the summit especially in springtime.

Rock Creek to UOP to Super Moon

Here are some pictures I took of Rock Creek as the sun was setting in the west. Then I waited for the appearance of the super moon on Sunday evening in the east. I was in a small farming valley in the foothills near Copperopolis, California. Monday evening I took some pictures of Burns Tower and the super moon on the campus of The University of the Pacific, Stockton, California. Awesome experience.

Fall Color Drive along HWY 88 in Eastern Sierra

Here are four pictures I took of fall color on a drive along Highway 88 from Stockton, California to Carson City, Nevada. It was a beautiful, sunny day with lots of color foliage. I love to take this route in October of each year.

Here’s are some of the pictures that I took on a trip to Yosemite over Tioga Pass on Highway 120. I stayed at Lee Vining, CA. I took many pictures of Mono Lake, Ellery Lake, Tioga Lake, and Tuolumne Meadows. Had a good time.
