Downtown Stockton

Recently I took six photos of Downtown Stockton since one new building and one new traffic feature has been added there. What’s new? The San Joaquin County Superior Courthouse and a new roundabout at the intersection of Miner Avenue and San Jaoquin Street. Also I took a photo of the Nippon Hospital built in 1919 and three views along McLeod Lake.

Oakland Waterfront California

Here’s a mosaic of pictures I took while strolling the Oakland Waterfront last Saturday afternoon. There are lots of events, activities, music, etc. I had fun and I enjoyed the many sights and views of the Jack London Square and the passing sailboat regatta.

Lunch at Sam’s Cafe in Tiburon

I took a few pictures of Sam’s Cafe in Tiburon, California and views from its back deck and dock where boats can tie up to eat lunch. Tiburon is also accessible by ferry boat from San Francisco. The view includes the skyline of San Francisco, Alcatraz, and Angel Island. I enjoyed eating crab cakes on the deck of the restaurant established in 1920 with awesome views of the San Francisco Bay.

America’s Cup Racers Dock Sailboats at the Marina

Here are some pictures that I took of America’s Cup Racers docking their sailboats for the night at the San Francisco Marina, California. I used a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3X camera. I converted the images to black and white in Photoshop. It was a fortunate happenstance for me to walk along the Marina as the racing boats sailed in to dock for the night.

Suisun City Fireworks

Fourth of July BBQ and Fireworks at a friend’s house near the Civic Center on the marina in Suisun City, California. Walking a block from the house, I took these pictures of Independence Day Fireworks on the marina with a tripod and a Nikon D200 with a Nikon 35mm DX lens.

SF Giants Game AT&T Park Sunday August 9, 2009

With a friend, we took the Vallejo-McCovey Ferry service to SF Giants Game, Sunday, August 9, 2009 at AT&T Park. We departed Vallejo at 11:15 AM to arrive at McCovey Cove at the Bay entrance to AT&T Park in time for the 1:05 PM game. It was a beautiful trip across the Bay and a great experience at AT&T Park despite the fact that SF Giants lost 5 to 2 to Cincinnati Reds. It was a bright sunny day so I got some nice pictures taken from the ferry and the baseball park.

Recently I traveled to Florida to visit some family members. While on the East Coast of Florida, I took some pictures in Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge near Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, and Titusville. Then later on the West Coast of Florida, I took some pictures of the Sponge Docks District in the Greek American Village of Tarpon Springs, Florida. Finally I took some pictures of a sunset at Dunedin Harbor, Florida.
