Above are seven photos that I took in Calaveras Big Trees State Park, California. There were only a few remaining dogwood blooms left there when I arrived. For me it’s always a delight and restful to wander around the North Trail in the park.
I took these landscape photos in Amador County in the Gold Country. I mostly took these photos along Latrobe and Greilich Roads in Amador County in California. These roads mostly parallel California Highway 49 in the Gold Country. The grass on the hillsides is mostly dry with a golden yellow color contrasted with the green oak trees and the blue sky. This scenery is typical of the foothills in the middle of summer here.
I received a new Nikkor Z MC 105 f/2.8 last Friday. So I was curious to try it on my Nikon Z6 camera this morning. Here are some samples that I took with it of flowers in the neighborhood. For me, it seems to have great detail, nice color rendition, and good bokeh. The flowers include African lilies, society garlic, marigolds, day lily, and roses. Happy Fourth of July! Nature also puts on colorful fireworks too I believe.
I took these seven pictures of large marine vessels and motorboats on the San Joaquin River near the Port of Stockton, California. It was a warm beautiful day sitting in my VW Eurovan waiting for boats to pass by.
Here are five pictures that I took recently on a drive around Shiloh Wind Farm near Rio Vista, California. I took these pictures along Birds Landing Road and Montezuma Hills Road on a day with blue skies and green pastures.
Here are five photos that I took on Woodbridge Road near the Woodbridge Ecological Reserve, Lodi, California. We’re near the end of the migratory birds stay in this Pacific Flyway. Most of them start leaving in January. So here’s a sunset towards the end of their stay for the 2019 season. They will return fall of 2020.
Here are six photos that I took of the returning Sandhill Cranes to the Pacific Flyway. The Pacific Flyway includes the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta in California. The cranes, geese, and other wild birds like to feed in the cornfields after harvest time. The Sandhill Cranes to my eyes certainly seem to enjoy themselves along the Pacific Flyway.
I added five more photos: a great blue heron, a family of cranes with their juvenile cranes and a view of Mount Diablo, California.
Here are some images that I captured on a road trip to Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. I took these photos around the fall equinox. From Artist Point Overlook, I took two photos of Yellowstone Lower Falls. Also, I took a photo of an early morning snow at Scaup Lake. I stayed three nights at Old Faithful Lodge Frontier Cabin where I took a picture of The Old Faithful Geyser. Again I took a few photos of hot springs at the Midway Geyser Basin and West Thump. With good luck, I encountered wildlife and I was able to take some photos of elk and bison. For me, it was quite an adventure. Absolutely, I would like to go back to Yellowstone for another visit.
