Downtown Stockton

Recently I took six photos of Downtown Stockton since one new building and one new traffic feature has been added there. What’s new? The San Joaquin County Superior Courthouse and a new roundabout at the intersection of Miner Avenue and San Jaoquin Street. Also I took a photo of the Nippon Hospital built in 1919 and three views along McLeod Lake.

Cherry Blossoms Come With Spring

Here are five pictures I took on a recent drive through some cherry orchards growing near Linden, California. It was the second day of spring. It was great to get some fresh air during the current pandemic crisis. And I was able to easily stay out of the way of fellow human beings. Right now alone in nature is safer. Be safe and stay healthy.

Morning Departures from the Port of Stockton, California

Here are four pictures that I took of two Cargo Ships. The Lara is docked at Stockton Port while the Pacific Spike is departing the port headed to Japan. Below are three pictures of the Star Lima departing the Port of Stockton via the San Joaquin River through The Delta headed towards East San Francisco Bay.

 

Cherry Orchards near Linden, California

 

I took these three photos of cherry orchards near Linden, San Joaquin County, California. The first one has wild yellow mustard growing beneath the cherry trees. The last two photos are of older mature cherry trees still producing beautiful blossoms.

Springtime in Micke Grove Regional Park between Lodi and Stockton, California. It has a small but nonetheless beautiful, tranquil Japanese Tea House and Garden. For me, it’s a great place to take landscape pictures.

Here are some more pictures that I took recently with the Panasonic G9 of wildlife and sunsets in the Staten Island Preserve. Staten Island Preserve is surrounded on three sides by levees. It’s located in the Sacramento River Delta Region. The nearest town is Walnut Grove, California. The distant mountain in the background is Mount Diablo. It’s another beautiful day in The Delta.
